After 25 years of teaching in various inner-city schools across the country, Melanie Moore rerouted her career. Her bookstore on wheels sells books from the bed of a vintage 1962 Volkswagen pickup truck. Her passion for getting books into the hands of kids who need them most means all the profits from The Book Bus go to buy new children’s books for low income area schools and organizations.
